Methodological focus
Here at the Escuela Europea de Coaching, we believe that the coaching profession is a continuous learning process. First of all it needs solid basic training which provides the competencies and skills required to be a professional coach.
Moreover, and just as in any other profession, it also calls for more advanced study whether that be taking an in-depth look at a specific area or building competencies into similar disciplines or tools. This is the reason why the EEC runs its coaching training as a “degree” programme based on two major skills areas:
- Executive Coaching Certification, in turn divided into Stage I and II in the “coaching degree”.
- Specialisation programmes for certified coaches (Stage III)
In all these stages we mentor our students in their personal learning processes in line with their own rate of progress.
We ensure that they are able to systematically put into practice everything they have learnt. We do not provide traditional education but rather training: education + action.
That means that our training sessions are much more than just a series of talks by experts. We seek to ensure that students can get the best out of themselves by inviting them to become excellent coaches.
The sessions aren’t set in stone. If necessary, the topics covered can be adapted to the needs and features of the group and its members.
Class time spent on concepts is combined with compulsory practical experience supervised by a professional coach featuring constant feedback which helps the student to grow as a coach.
We deliver both open and in-company training programmes.
